The seventh grade PREP class is sponsoring clothing drive this holiday season to benefit the Sojourner Truth Mission in Williamsport. Please stop by the wooden tree display to pick up a list of needed items. Items may be placed in the bin under the tree. January 5th will be the last collection date. Blessed by magnificent weather, we enjoyed one of the best carnivals ever. While the money it raised will be superb support to St Boniface, I'm more impressed with the friend-raising that it spawned. Many more people joined in as volunteers. Lycoming students, new parishioners and veterans of the parish had a chance to work side by side. This only makes us better as we stand and pray together. Finally, we need to express our gratitude to the parish activities committee. They organize the smallest details and devoted hours to a successful 3 days. Bravo to all. THANK YOU for making the 2019 carnival a huge success!! We were finally blessed with great weather for all 3 nights! Our Fabulous Chef and kitchen staff prepared over 700 meals during the 3-day event. The dining room staff met that challenge like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was greeted with a smile and enjoyed delectable desserts prepared by our parishioners. Outside the smell of pierogis, hot sausage, and onions filled the air. The food stand crew fought through long lines and tired feet to provide our patrons with full stomachs. Thank you to everyone that filled the open positions to allow the food stand to run smooth...

On the first day, parents and children should arrive together at the church hall. Our mission is to serve those in need both in our Williamsport community and overseas by living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are currently looking for volunteers. One of the local projects is with Sojourner Truth Ministry (STM) in Williamsport. Volunteers are needed to pick-up/deliver donated food every Tuesdays and help prepare and serve lunches on Thursdays. Daily Masses April 30th – May 2nd Most of the priests in the Diocese will be on a retreat and at meetings with the Bishop from Monday afternoon April 29th until Thursday, May 2nd in the afternoon. Closing Day Mass is April 14th at St. Lawrence 9:00 a.m. – We are very blessed that some of our youth are assisting at this Closing Day Mass as Readers and Altar Servers. We invite parents as well and ask that our youth in Kindergarten and 1st Grade sit as a class up front with their parents. We ask that our youth in 2nd to 8th grade will sit as a class and their parents will sit in pews surrounding them. Also, that our 8th grade class offer to service as greeters and ushers. April 7, 2019 Take Advantage of the Last Chances. Last weekend we had a retreat for the Confirmation candidates. The Confession discussions were candid and thoughtful. I think some were surprised that it could be so calm and refreshing. We have 2 more opportunities for Keep The Light On. They are normally uncrowded, allowing time to talk. Family Promise Host Week April 14-21

It's almost time for us to host the Family Promise guests again. Our next week will be April 14-21. Contact Kathy Venaski, our Food Coordinator at 419-5712 if you are able to provide dinner for one of the nights. Contact Ray Fischer, our Overnight Coordinator at 326-5464. There are 4 families, 4 adults & 6 children in the program. This can always change but we will let you know the exact number of guests the week before. St. Boniface Activities Committee Annual Fish Dinner The annual fish dinner will be held Ash Wednesday March 6th at the St. Boniface elementary school gym from 4-7pm. Adults are $10.00 and children under 12 are $5.00. Take outs are available. Fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, green beans, brownie sundaes and drinks will be served family style. STARTING THIS MONTH....we will start a special Children's Liturgy of the Word (scripture reading geared to children) during some of the 10:30am Masses on Sundays at St Boniface.
